Because we are mindful of our ecological footprint

We want to demonstrate that an adventure and sustainable lifestyle is possible. In order to limit our carbon footprint and ecological impact we commit to the following principles:

Less Is More
How many R’s do you do?
Reduce – Reuse – Recycle
Repair – Refuse.
Leave No Trace

Aims for zero environmental impacts, by preventing negative consequences of outdoor activities.

Local First

Respect the people who live there, listen to them, follow their steps and remember your are a guest.

Less Is More.

How many R’s do you do?
Reduce – Reuse – Recycle – Repair – Refuse.

Minimalism is a life challenge and while traveling it’s a must.

Reducing our equipment to the strict minimum is essential while backpacking. It helps us to avoid waste and reduce our environment impact.

This philosophy pushes us to perpetually reconsider what we really need and what is just nice to have.

Concrete examples:
  • Reduce our consumption
  • Reuse what we already have
  • Recycle our waste
  • Repair our cloth and material
  • Refuse what we don’t need

Leave No Trace.

Aims for zero environmental impacts, by preventing negative consequences of outdoor activities.

Our tires will leave little trace that we hope ephemeral.

The concept of leave not trace is more than a list of principals, it is about real awareness of how human impact the environment.

Teaching your self and helping to spread the word. Teach other to be critical of their own consumption and the trace they leave.

We believe that we are nature guests in every environments.

Concrete examples:
  • Minimize waste production or dispose of waste properly
  • Collect waste from other when possible “Plogging”
  • Avoid unnecessary one way plastic packaging
  • Filter or boiling water instead of buying plastic bottle water
  • Camp at good distance from lakes and streams
  • Respect the flora and fauna
  • Minimize campfire impact
  • Educate ourself about the places we visit

Local First.

Respect the people who live there, listen to them, follow their steps and remember your are a guest.

Support local business and culture.

In our increasingly homogenised world we want to contribute to the preservation of diversity by supporting local communities. When possible, we ensure that the money we are spending and goes on the right person pockets.

Concrete examples:
  • Street markets first
  • Family restaurants
  • Seasonal products
  • Small businesses

Be part of our Mindful Journey.

If you believe in the future and that a different way of consumption is possible, that an accumulation of little things will create great things, then…
